Besides the far southeast part of the zone which remained in Moderate(D1) drought, the remainder continued in Severe(D2) drought. The Cooperative Observer at Antelope Wells reported 0.26 inches of precipitation which was 0.59 inches below normal.

Wider weather episode

Another month where all sites reported below normal precipitation kept southwest New Mexico in Severe(D2) to Extreme(D3) drought.
