Light freezing rain occurred across portions of Screven County with no significant accumulation. In Sylvania, light ice accumulation was reported on railings, street lamps, and bushes from freezing rain. Also, a CoCoRaHS observer near Rocky Ford reported ice accumulation of 0.05 on tree branches.

Wider weather episode

With a cold front positioned offshore, upper-level forcing helped produce light precipitation across southeast Georgia in the early morning hours. The low-level airmass was cold and below freezing with warm air observed aloft, leading to reports of light freezing rain and sleet.
