Snowfall totals generally ranged between three inches and five inches across the county. Snowfall total of 5.0 inches was reported at Windsor. Snowfall total of 4.5 inches was reported at Smithfield. Snowfall total of 3.0 inches was reported at Zuni.

Wider weather episode

The combination of high pressure to the north funneling cold, Arctic air into the Mid Atlantic region, and low pressure tracking northeast off the Carolina coast produced snowfall totals between three inches and eight inches across much of southeast Virginia and the Virginia Eastern Shore.
