A total of 4.6 inches accumulated near Terra Alta, while 2.5 inches of snow was reported 7 miles north of Thomas.

Another progressive shortwave trough crossed the Upper Ohio Valley on January 24th, quickly on the heels of the previous clipper system. Support for ascent was provided by vorticity advection as well as ample frontogenesis. Another general accumulation of 2 to 4 inches fell across much of the region, with slightly higher totals on the ridges.
