Freezing rain and up to a tenth of an inch of sleet caused icy roads across the county.

A strong arctic cold front brought some of the coldest air of the season to South Central Texas. Precipitation in the cold airmass fell as a mixture of sleet and freezing rain. Some places received as much as ' of sleet and others ' of ice.
