Extreme(D3) drought continued for most of the zone except the far east which was in Severe(D2) drought. The Truth or Consequences Airport recorded 0.18 inches of precipitation which was 0.12 inches below normal.

Wider weather episode

Another month of well below normal precipitation kept much of Southwest New Mexico in Severe(D2) to Extreme(D3) drought.
