Low pressure intensified while moving along the Downeast coast during the morning of the 25th. Warmer air being drawn north over cold low level air dammed at the surface produced a wintry mix across northern Maine through the morning and afternoon. Across northern Aroostook county and northern portions of Somerset and Piscataquis counties snow accumulations generally ranged from 3 to 6 inches along with around a tenth of an inch of ice. Across northern portions of Penobscot county snow accumulations ranged from 2 to 4 inches along with a tenth to quarter inch of ice. Across southeast Aroostook county snow accumulations were around an inch along with a quarter to half inch of ice.
