Mesonet station XBLU in Blue Point measured a 35 knot wind gust.

Wider weather episode

A broad upper level trough over the eastern half of the CONUS continued to move east towards the area. At the surface, low pressure passed well to our north and west. A warm front associated with the low pressure system moved north of our area in the morning hours placing the area in the warm sector. Severe thunderstorms approached from the south during the evening hours ahead of an approaching cold front.
