Event narrative

Thunderstorm winds blew the roof off of the front porch of a house in Silex. Also, about 3 miles north of Troy a large tree was blown down and in Old Monroe numerous large tree limbs were blown down around town.

Wider weather episode

A strong cold front moved through the region, triggering showers and storms. Some of the storms became severe with damaging winds and an isolated tornado.
