Strong low pressure tracking across northern Michigan dragged a powerful cold front through southeast Michigan during the morning hours of March 6th. Wind gusts of 45-55 mph were common behind the front, with the highest wind gusts of 60+ mph reported in Tri-Cities region and Huron county. Officially, MBS (Saginaw/Tri-Cities airport) reported a 67 mph gust as the front passed through.
