Mild and rather moist lower levels combined with an approaching, weakening cold front to generate numerous early afternoon thunderstorms across central Indiana. Given the weak flow and low-shear environment, most storms were single-cellular with a very slow southerly storm motion. Amid scattered heavy rainfall rates were a couple reports of marginally large hail between Indianapolis and Bloomington.
