Site near Athol Idaho reported a Southwest 59MPH gust at 1430LST. Winds were strong from 1330-1530LST with gusts in the range of 30 to 50 MPH across the zone. The winds caused downed power lines and outages affecting around 2400 customers.

Wider weather episode

A deepening Low with strong jet support brought strong surface winds across Columbia Basin into the region. Winds were sustained in the high teens and mid 20s. Gusts ranged in the upper 40s to near 60. Power outages affected around 15000 customers.
