Wider weather episode
A low pressure system lifted through the central Dakotas and deepened as it slid northward over the Saskatchewan and Manitoba border. This created a strong pressure gradient over western and central North Dakota, which led to strong winds developing. The strongest wind gusts of 64 mph were reported at the Dickinson and Jamestown airports.
