Widespread roadway flooding occurred in the tidal areas of Sussex County. The tide gauge at Dewey Beach reached 4.59 feet MLLW. The tide gauge at Indian River Inlet reached 5.69 feet MLLW. The tide gauge at Rosedale Beach reached 6.14 feet MLLW.

Wider weather episode

Low pressure moved slowly off the Middle Atlantic Coast from the 7th into the 8th. The resulting onshore flow caused moderate tidal flooding in parts of southern Delaware.
