Wider weather episode

Several severe mesoscale convective systems (MCSs) passed mostly west and southwest of the eastern mid-Atlantic on June 13 and 14. The majority of severe weather associated with these systems remained over the Ohio Valley and Southeast. A couple of areas of convection did make it further east on the morning of June 14. While instability was limited due in part to unfavorable diurnal timing, a few instances of damaging winds occurred over the eastern mid-Atlantic.
