Video provided by Fairfield County EM shows quarter sized Hail at a residence near the intersection of Hwy 34 and Old Douglass Road (State Rd. S-20-22).

Diurnal heating, along with a weak upper shortwave moving south over the region on the eastern periphery of an upper ridge, and convergence along surface boundaries, led to a cluster of thunderstorms that shifted south over the central Midlands of SC, some of which reached severe limits.
