There were two rounds of severe weather May 12 across Eastern Nebraska. The first occurred in the early morning in a region highlighted by a Moderate risk. This was mostly a wind risk with peak wind gusts measured or estimated near 75-80 mph.
The 2nd round of storms developed later in the evening and produced severe hail and damaging wind gusts.
