Intermittent wind speeds of at least 40 mph were common in the Little Rocky Mountains from early morning to the early evening hours. The peak wind gust of 68 mph was recorded at 10:32 AM at the BLM Zortman RAWS site (ALDM8).

A strong low pressure system moving through southern Saskatchewan caused strong winds across northeastern Montana.
