A combination of surface high pressure centered over the Canadian Maritimes and surface low pressure spinning off the Mid Atlantic Coast, resulted in strong northeast or north winds which caused minor to moderate (tidal) coastal flooding over portions of York county. Yorktown reached 5.17 feet MLLW at 454 am on Tuesday, May 10.
