Isolated thunderstorms developed over northwestern Nebraska during the mid afternoon hours of June 29th. As this activity tracked east into the northwestern Sandhills and portions of North Central Nebraska, it intensified, leading to thunderstorm wind gusts of around 60 MPH. A 63 MPH wind gust was reported at the Valentine Airport.
