Several trees uprooted and power lines downed at the intersection of Magnolia Road and 15th Street Southwest, in the city of Lanett.

Wider weather episode

A unusual summer-time upper air pattern developed across the Central Gulf Coast states with an upper high centered just north of Alabama. Several upper level impulses rotated around the eastern side of the high and produced clusters of severe storms that tracked westward across Central Alabama.
