Alliance Airport ASOS station (KAIA) measured an afternoon high temperature of 104 degrees Fahrenheit. The heat index also exceeded 100 degrees Fahrenheit.

Wider weather episode

High temperatures across the Nebraska Panhandle were in the triple digits after morning lows only dropped into the 70s. This was also the second consecutive day of hot temperatures across the region.
