To start July, ongoing drought conditions in the northwestern third of the Little Rocky Mountains was in (D2-Severe) conditions while the southeastern two thirds of the Little Rockies were in (D1-Moderate) drought. By the second week of July, all of the Little Rocky Mountains had improved to (D1-Moderate) drought.

Wider weather episode

A wet start to July in most areas continued to improve drought conditions and by the second week of July, the whole area had improved to (D1-Moderate) drought conditions or better, ending the drought.
