Severe thunderstorm outflow wind gusts downed several trees across roads in the Milton New Hampshire area.
Wider weather episode
An area of low pressure tracked to the north of the region across Quebec province, with a trailing cold front pushing westward across New England during the afternoon hours of July 12th. A hot and unstable airmass was in place across New Hampshire with above normal temperatures. A pre-frontal trough axis ahead of the surface boundary was the focus area of thunderstorm development. A broken line of Severe Thunderstorms developed bringing damaging wind and hail from the Connecticut River Valley across the state to the Maine state border.
