Peak wind gust at 10 meters was measured at an NDAWN station 3 miles southeast of Niles.

Clusters of thunderstorms combined into a line of storms during the late evening in eastern North Dakota, then moved southeastward through the region over the next several hours. Significant damaging winds, and large hail were reported, as well as two tornadoes.
