Event narrative

Numerous large 4 to 8 inch tree branches were broken. A few large trees were snapped or uprooted, and four hopper bottom grain bins were blown over.

Wider weather episode

Clusters of thunderstorms combined into a line of storms during the late evening in eastern North Dakota, then moved southeastward through the region over the next several hours. Significant damaging winds, and large hail were reported, as well as two tornadoes.
