Periods of large hail ranging from quarter to half dollar size occurred across west central pelen township and adjacent portions of western halma township. Hail occurred off and on between 840 and 850 pm and completely covered the ground.

Isolated storm produced large hail and damaging winds across the northern portions of the Red River Valley on August 23rd.
