Wider weather episode
A cold front moving southeast through middle Tennessee on September 25, 2022, helped to develop scattered showers and thunderstorms along it during the afternoon and evening hours. As the atmosphere destabilized, enough instability and wind shear was present to allow for a few strong thunderstorms, particularly along and east of the boundary. Across the Cumberland Plateau, a couple of sub-severe hail reports were received.
