The Taos Ski Valley mesonet station reported peak wind gusts up to 61 mph for several hours.
Wider weather episode
An upper-level storm system moving quickly east across the central Rockies allowed strong south to southwest winds to spread across much of northern NM on November 9, 2022. The strongest winds impacted areas around the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and nearby northeast highlands where gusts around 60 mph were reported.
