A peak wind gust of 58 mph was recorded at 8:35 PM at the Beach Airport AWOS (K20U).

Wider weather episode

A strong Alberta Clipper system developed over southern Alberta and sped to the east over Saskatchewan. A strong pressure gradient was generated by the low as it strengthened, causing strong and gusty winds over northeast Montana with numerous gusts over 60 mph.
