Event narrative
An estimated storm total snowfall of 6.0 inches was recorded at the La Prele Creek SNOTEL in the northern Laramie Range, 19 miles ENE of Shirley Basin at an elevation if 8375 feet.

A primarily light to moderate snow event impacted a large portion of southeast Wyoming from the late evening hours on November 2nd through the early morning hours on November 4th. In general, the highest snowfall totals were observed for areas along and west of Interstate 25, where 3 to 5 inches of accumulation was common. Locally higher amounts up to 7 inches were observed in the Sierra Madre mountains. Most notably, a narrow band of very heavy snowfall with rates exceeding 1-2 inches per hour impacted central Laramie County, including the city of Cheyenne. Accumulations of 4 to 7 inches were common within this band, mostly falling within a period of approximately 4 hours.
