Generally 5 to 9 inches of snow fell across the area.

Wider weather episode

A Pacific shortwave trough and associated cold front progressed across western Colorado. Favorable upslope flow and modest moisture led to moderate snow across the northern mountains as well as the adjacent high valleys. Additionally, wind gusts exceeded 50 mph in the mountains and gusted to 30 mph in the valleys at times.
