Generally 6 to 12 inches of snow fell across the area.

Wider weather episode

A strong area of low pressure progressed across the Northern Rockies and lifted across western Colorado. Ample moisture and favorable orographics led to moderate to heavy snow across the mountains over a prolonged period. Moderate accumulations also occurred in some valley locations. Winds gusted in excess of 45 mph in the mountains and more than 30 mph in the valleys.
