Mesonet station BURL1 Southwest Pass recorded a wind gust of 35 kt or 41 mph.

Wider weather episode

A surface low pressure system developed along the southeast Texas Coast on the afternoon of November 14th. This low tracked east along the northern Gulf Coast that afternoon and through the overnight hours, early morning hours November 15th. A warm front appendant to east side of this low became to focus of severe thunderstorms across all the local coastal waters.
