Sixty to 65 mph wind gusts were measured at the intersection of US Highways 20 and 26 as well as Big Southern Butte. These occurred between 12 Midnight and 2 AM MDT on the 2nd.

A strong cold front moved through eastern Idaho overnight on the 1st into the 2nd and very strong winds occurred with substantial power outages.
