The Colorado Department of Transportation reported 17 inches of snow fell at Douglas Pass.

Wider weather episode

A plume of moisture associated with an Atmospheric River surged across western Colorado with precipitable water values increasing up to 400% of normal. A Pacific system moved across the region which, when combined with the well above normal moisture, resulted in moderate to heavy snowfall across the mountains of western Colorado. Light to moderate snow also fell in some of the valley areas. Winds gusted up to 50 mph at times.
