A peak wind gust of 58 MPH was measured by the automated weather station at the Canyonlands Field Airport in Moab.

Wider weather episode

Winds increased as yet another upper level trough associated with an ongoing atmospheric river event dropped into the Great Basin. This led to some stronger winds across eastern Utah. Some stronger gusts met high wind criteria, or 58 mph, in the Arches/Grand Flat areas.
