Automated SNOTEL equipment at Dupuyer Creek, located approximately 15 miles southwest of Dupuyer estimated 12 inches of snow over a 24-hour period.
Wider weather episode
A strong storm system moved across the area at the very end of the month bringing significant snowfall to primarily higher elevations of southwest Montana. However, banding of snow also resulting in higher snowfall amounts across the Blackfeet Nation and adjacent areas of the Rocky Mountain Front Range. Windy conditions also prevailed with the strongest winds confined to primarily southwest Montana. This weather episode continued into early December and is also included in December's Storm Data.
