Wider weather episode
A cold front swept eastward across Middle Tennessee on February 9, 2023. As it did so, a strengthening surface pressure gradient led to strong surface winds beginning in the early morning hours and continuing through the afternoon. Observations across Middle Tennessee revealed wind gusts ranging from 40 to 55 mph. This did result in some reports of downed trees, particularly in Cheatham and Overton counties.
