An upper-level system and weak area of surface low pressure brought a period of snow across the region during the daylight hours of March 12th which transitioned to freezing drizzle during the evening and continued into the overnight. Total snow accumulations were one to three inches with ice accumulations of a trace to one tenth of an inch. The greatest ice accumulations were on the eastern facing ridges.
