The western edge of the precipitation shield from a coastal low produce 1 to 2 inches of snow across Tioga County on March 13-14, 2023. This snow was enough to produce slick conditions on roads across the county, and the northbound lanes of US Route 15 were close for just under an hour due to multiple tractor trailers becoming stuck.

Wider weather episode

A coastal storm developed off the Mid-Atlantic Coast on March 13, 2023 and spread rain and snow northward into the eastern third of Pennsylvania from late March 13 into early March 14. Tioga County only received one to two inches of snow, but this was just enough to create slick roads that led to the closure of US Route 15 northbound.
