The highest snowfall totals in Lincoln County included 9 inches near Tomahawk, 8.9 inches near Merrill, and 8.8 inches in Bradley.
Wider weather episode
A low pressure system slowly tracked from northeast Wisconsin on Sunday evening (4/16) towards the eastern Upper Peninsula of Michigan on Monday (4/17). A swath of 6 to 10 inches of heavy snow fell across western portions of north-central and central Wisconsin along with gusty north winds of 30 to 40 mph.
Some of the highest snowfall amounts included 10.1 inches in Hazelhurst (Oneida Co.), 9.5 inches in Presque Isle (Vilas Co.), 9.2 inches near Boulder Junction (Vilas Co.), 9 inches near Tomahawk (Lincoln Co.), Manitowish Waters (Vilas Co.), Lake Tomahawk (Oneida Co.) as well as near Goodnow (Oneida Co.), 8 inches near Milan (Marathon Co.), and 6.8 inches in Marshfield (Wood Co.).
