COOP Observer SNRM8 (Sun River 4S) reported 9.2 inches of new snow over 24 hours. Localized band of persistent heavy snow sat over observation site.

Wider weather episode

Snow showers developed primarily over the mountains of Southwest Montana. Additionally, more widespread snow developed across much of North-central, Central, and Southwest Montana.
