Severe drought spread across the southern part of the county through the month.

Wider weather episode

The severe drought over the western Brush Country spread eastward into southern portions of the Brush Country by the end of the month. Rainfall was well below normal for south Texas with areas across the Brush Country receiving only a few hundredths of an inch of rainfall during the month.
