Strong gradient winds developed across portions of central Mississippi during the evening of December 22nd. Peak winds were measured up to around 40 to 50 mph in this region, including a 52 mph gust measured at the KJAN Jackson-Medgar Wiley Evers Airport. A few trees were blown down by the strong winds.
