A pocket of D2 Severe Drought continued from February into March across portions of Corson, Campbell, McPherson, Walworth and Edmunds counties. However, above average liquid equivalent precipitation of up to over half an inch (observed 0.75 to 1.5 plus inches) from March 1st through March 28th resulted in an improvement to D1 Abnormally Dry conditions in these areas.
