Scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms developed across the tri-state region ahead of an upper level trough. There was sufficient instability and shear for a few storms to become severe with damaging winds and hail. Significant hail was reported in Colquitt county with numerous reports of large hail with a thunderstorms moving through the Tifton area.
