Observer snowfall reports over an approximate 32-hour period included 9.1 inches at Herman, 7.2 inches at Three Lakes, 6.8 inches two miles south of Baraga and 5.7 inches at Watton.

A low pressure system tracking across the area brought moderate to heavy snow and blowing snow to west half portions of Upper Michigan from the 16th into the 18th.
