Severe thunderstorms developed along a slow moving cold front during the evening hours of April 4th, 2023. The thunderstorms zippered down from the northeast and produced numerous quarter size hail reports and a few half dollar size hail reports. Some damaging wind reports also occurred over southeast Kansas.
