Public reported a thunderstorm wind gust, estimated at 60 MPH, on the east side of Curtis.

Thunderstorms developed along a stationary front during the late afternoon hours of May 5th. This activity intensified into the evening hours along a line from Ogallala to Imperial and east into Custer County. Hail up to golf ball size and thunderstorm wind gusts up to 84 MPH were reported.
